Two-wheeler petrol prices will be cut by Rs 25
In Jharkhand, CM Hemant Soren declared that petrol and diesel will be cheaper by Rs 25
From next year, petrol and diesel in Jharkhand would be Rs 25 cheaper. Hemant Soren, the state’s chief minister, made the announcement. However, this low-cost gasoline and diesel will only be available to BPL cardholders. According to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, BPL card users in Jharkhand would be able to obtain fuel and diesel for Rs 25 less starting January 26.
The Jharkhand Petroleum Dealers Association has been advocating for a reduction in the VAT rates on gasoline and diesel for a long time. The group was requesting that the government lower the 5% VAT on gasoline. They claim that if the government lowers the VAT rate from 22% to 17%, citizens will benefit significantly.
Petroleum dealers had addressed a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and met with the finance minister, according to Association President Ashok Singh. However, no precautions have been made up until this point. After meeting with the Finance Minister, Ashok stated he provided a memorandum in this regard, but his demands were not taken into account. He claimed that in Jharkhand, there are 1350 petrol pumps that directly support the livelihoods of more than 2.50 lakh families. High VAT rates have a negative impact on businesses.
